So I was right that a few of the new sutures let go...he put in 2 rows of  4 sutures over a distance of about 1.5 inches at the top of the pouch.

About half on only one side let go so the pouch is still attached but hanging slightly off-side...not down but not strait.

I intubate slightly cockeyed to the left but its not impossible. I am still hooking on one part of the valve so I need to be careful to not rip anything but I am managing.

I can't use the strait tube any longer, need the softer curved one...which bends at the end near the 2nd flute hole. I got 'grabbed' by it while at school last week and couldn't get the darn thing to let go (feels like it buckles and hooks something)...A long moment of panic before I took a deep breath and relaxed.  Got it out fine but the tissues are so fragile in there that they bleed for the slightest thing.

Now for the new one. Because it is hanging off of only a couple of sutures whenever the pouch fills up and gets heavy it pulls on those poor sutures and hurts like heck.

Feels like a pinch on the inside. Nothing to do but empty as soon as possible then I am fine. Need to keep it light, not overfill and pray that the remaining ones don't let go.

Hi Debbie,

I saw my Gyn 2 weeks ago (useless) and see my surgeon tomorrow evening...will beg for bloodwork and a contrast study but most of the pain in the abdomen/pouch is gone. I think that things are settling down in there. I am upping my fruit/veggie meat & fish intake and lowering the carbs again so that is helping. almost no gas whatsoever and less cramping but I am permanently exhausted. 

May need to tweek the vitamins and supplements to get some of that energy back.

For now I am up to my eyebrows in work, spring cleanning, exams etc and do not get enough sleep. Not even sure if I am remembering to drink fluids during the day...too much work and no time to get to a bathroom between classes (there is No between classes...I just juggle one after the other without a break...Gets me out of the school sooner)

I want a 48hr nap. .

Then I want to turn over and go back to sleep

Men-o-pause is killing me (men again! sheesh)...Every joint, muscle and nerve hurts...even a few that I didn't know that I had. No time for exercise, stretching and yoga so my body is going to pott. 

I am hoping for a magic potion but not sure where to find it...

Spring is on the way and once the weather improves I tend to too. 

Here's hoping for an early spring.

I think that that is the next step Debbie,

I used to do them on a regular basis but stopped due to the tatooing effect (yes, here they give them in your butt)...they don't give them in infusions.

I will try to see my GP in a couple of weeks when I get a day off (been running to the hospital on Saturdays to visit my French Mom-in-law and haven't had a minute to myself)...

I slow down in just over a month  and can line-up in front of his office then (no appts with him, just a vast waiting room).

I'm glad there's an end in sight for you but please sleep for 3 days straight before you go wait in line over there. Ugh!

I'm doing okay but now my right hip ball and socket joint keep slipping out. So painful! Is this an Ehlers-Danlos issue I wonder? I'm going to ask my physical therapist for exercises to help strengthen the muscles, but I wonder if I could take some supplements to strengthen the joint.

Yes, the hip joint slipping out was one of the first signs that I noticed...(other than the not healing part!)...they say that weight bearing exercises help a lot and I think that those years of weight lifting went a long way to keeping things tightly in place.

Collagene & silicium are the only things that I know of but there must be others.

Gelatin? I guess that lots of proteins, iron and muscle building elements couldn't hurt us.

There is also something to be said for those rebounding doo-hickies...you know, the mini trampolines...they are supposed to be able to rebuild bone and tissue through mild bouncing. There are also those physio therapist straps. I just used them for the 1st time on my knee and they really seem to help support the joints (sort of self sticking florecent coloured strips)

Yes, Sleeeeep, Sleeep, Sleep are the top 3 things that I plan to do once I finish the semester. That an move to a more comfortable place to live.

Gota move soon or I will run out of courage to do it.
