Long time away from this site...sorry but that means that things were well for awhile. My husband has a 2 inch deep sinus tract in his Dr. Fazio redone J-Pouch from 2006. He just got back from a visit with Dr. Shen who discovered it as the source of his 8 months of low grade fevers and night sweats when no other DR. in the Mass area could figure it out
Dr. Shen did a needle knife procedure on Friday but was only able to repair 10%. He thinks the sinus tract has been there awhile and ultimately suggests moving forward with 3 step surgery. We can't remember (ignorance is bliss) the time frame for hospitalization and recovery. Can someone refresh our memories for step one - Loop Ileo - step two - repair pouch sinus tract - step three - take down. I think he said it would be around 3 months in between.Thanks All!
