I am probably not a great source to comment on
this post as I have been having issues since my takedown 17 months ago..but I will respond to it with my experience.

I am always tired as I too am up at least three times a night to empty my pouch no matter what time I stop eating in the evening (but I also have been battling chronic pouchitis with meds for a long time).

My eyes are often red and very tired. I recently had them checked for uveitis.

Dairy sometimes give me diarrhea.

I can easily digest turkey and chicken.

No sinus allergies, but I do often wake with a stuffy head.

My list of issues goes deeper than this, but I thought I would provide some comment on what you are experiencing. If you are not in pain (rectal or pelvic pain, with increased frequency, leakage, urgency or rectal pressure or bleeding, difficulty emptying your pouch, I would say you are in good shape with your pouch and just dealing with the changes that come along with a major modification of your digestive track).

I cannot comment on the weak bones but if you were on long doses of repeat prednisone before surgery you may want to have a bone density scan done.
thank god up to date I have not had pouchitis. I have changed my diet a ton. I don't eat heavy red meat, dairy, gluten, raw fruits w skin, nuts, seeds, and caffeine. All of these are triggers I have read and tested and seem to work so far. For me I am always tired but just had a blood test and my testosterone was low along with my vitamin D.

Is your weight back up to normal level?

Maybe you should look into a blood test and test for gluten sensitivity. Since i'm gluten free my head and eyes feel less heavy and less inflammation.
Surprisingly despite all the issue I have and how I am eating much less, my weight has not changed much. I attribute that to menopause occurring at the same time as having this surgery. I have always been thin (size 4) and am actually about 8 pounds or so less since having surgery (colon removal and off pred now).

I have been tested for gluten and came back negative, but I am doing agluten free, sugar free, wheat free diet. It really sucks as it so limits our choices of food to eat. I am on a really whole foods diet (plant greens, fish, poultry). I drink green tea daily for inflammation, but maybe I should also eliminate the caffeine to see if it helps.

As I said, my issues run much deeper than yours. I am getting checked out next week at CC as I am being recommended for pouch advancement surgery due to chronic cuffitis. I never had half the issues I am now experiencing with my long standing colitis and I am on way more meds than I was with UC. This is just so very frustrating.
The jpouch surgery for me has not been a success unfortunately and has pretty much made my life miserable over the last 16 months.
so sorry to hear, wish I had a better recommendation for you.

With us alot of our health depends on the mental side. If we can stay busy and not always think about what we eat, or our surgery I think that has helped me is to take my mind off health and trick our brain into something else and have the nerves and cells react into something positive it can get better!

good luck!
