On the experience question, I would change it to ask

- How many ileal pouch construction (or revision) surgeries have you done in the past 12 months?

Also I always inquire about failure rate. There are available statistics that the surgeon may quote but should be able to answer based on her own history as well.

- And always wise to ask about hospital infection rate.
