Yes, I'm definitely glad you're not here in Texas in this heat! Wouldn't wish that on anyone!
As far as heat management, I try to do every outdoor activity in the morning that isn't water-oriented. I'm ingesting lots of water and electrolytes. Submersion in water outdoors is great when the sun isn't strong, so morning or evening. Using fans. Showers. Cold water bidet is lovely at this time of year. Keeping the AC at 80-82 in the daytime and 70-80 at night and using a fan. This way the heat isn't so shocking when we do go out, and we're not hogging up all the electricity and increasing climate change by as much, though we still suck for using any electricity or gas at all. I guess we, as a species, are reaping what we sowed.
On the brighter side, the spiders and the wasps seem to be doing fine. And where I live still has trees so there is a bit of shade here and there.
