I just heard that a 54 year old cousin, who has had diognostic scopes for fap for pretty much her whole life has fap. How can this happen so late in life??? I was told that fap manifests at puberty, unless it's considered juvenille fap, which in that case would show up earlier.
My daughters go for they're supposed last scope in a few weeks to rule it out, but now I'm worried that that it could turn up much later than expected.

Has this disease manifested late in life for anyone else?

It might be that it is a version of FAP, called A-FAP (Attenuated FAP).

I'd say do a google search on FAP.......if you can't find anything, drop me a PM and I'll share some links with you.

Thanks Charlie, I was just under the immpression that Attenuated FAP only manifested in first generation. Apparently I was wrong. I see my surgeon next week and I plan on asking him a ton of questions. He took part in the initial research at Sloan-Kettering. And I also plan on doing some research on my own as you suggest.
