anyone out there have experience with having jpouch creation using robotic method? robotic vs. laproscopic?

Yes. Mine was both robotic and laparoscopic (although, technically, I think it is referred to as robotic assisted laparoscopy). I was told it is a more precise, and thus a less invasive technique. I personally was glad to have the option.

The people who did my surgery have a couple of videos on the procedure on their website here. These are from local news reports, so aren't all that informative - but you get the gist of what is involved.

Thank you for the info. I'll check it out. I've heard it's a relatively new method and that not many surgeons are doing it yet. so, just wanted to see what others had to say about it. thanks!
