I think you are going to find mixed preference on this question. But I would bet the majority would tell you they take immodium. My experience with immodium was better than lomotil. Lomotil didn't decrease frequency for me as much as it made it harder to go. I was finding myself waking up at night, needing to go, and then having to strain more while on it. Immodium does a good job for me of reducing frequency without the discomfort of feeling like I can't go when I try. Just my two cents.

Maybe you don't need either! I am sure there are people who really benifit from these pills, but IMOP, (for the most part) they are way overused, (remember this is just MOP) How can you expect your body to adjust if you keep using the "cruch"(spelling) and I also wonder, why would anyone want to keep this "toxic waste" inside? Get rid of it! I think it is just a invite to other problems. I used Imodium for the first couple of months, and I think it really helped, now after 5 years I use none. You are only a few months out, give it time, Try not using anything, see what happens, Just think, your body may adjust, Good Luck Den
