Ok, td surgery on fri the 3rd home on the 6th. Everything seemed to go ok. I have alot of pain at the surgacal site but other than that I feel great. No problems leaking but gas pains are a problem. Butt burn is also a problem, thank god for the cream they gave me.I have a question about new stool. My stool now is yellowish green water with some stuff in it. Will it get back to how it was before td?. Will that and frequintsy cause dehidration?

Bill,

The vast majority of us get back to something like before, but never "normal." With fiber, probiotics, meds (immodium, lomotil), and dietary choices - you can have fairly normal looking stool eventually. Usually after a few months things will start to shape up. But we all go through periods where things are not as good. And unless you have specific issues (pouchitis, a flu bug, etc.), you shouldn't see runny poop like you are now.

As for dehydration - yes, we are more prone to it even when our stool is more solid. Because we are going 6-7 time/day, we lose more water than usual when we had the colon there to reabsorb fluids. Drink, drink, drink.
