Hello everyone. I've been away for quite some time now but I have returned. My oldest daughter had her 2nd jpouch about 3 years ago, now we are getting things set up for our younger daughter to have her first jpouch surgery. Does anyone know if Dr. Fazio is still at the Cleveland Clinic? He did my daughter's surgery and I would like to see if he can do my younger daughter's surgery also. If he is no longer there, who does everyone recommend at the Cleveland Clinic? I'd like to get opinions please.

Thanks for reading!

Dr. Fazio is retired.

Dr. Remzi gets great reviews. Actually I have never heard of a bad CR surgeon at the CC. Your daughter should be in experienced hands with whomever does her surgery there.

Thank you for your response. I have been thinking about looking into finding a good surgeon here in Cincinnati. It is stressful though because I don't know where to start and with all the complications that my oldest daughter had, I am afraid to have her go anywhere but Cleveland.

Thanks again

Hi Natisha'

I also have two daughters with FAP. My oldest is 22 and we are preparing for her j-pouch surgery on February 10th. My youngest daughter is 18. I would really like to talk to you about your experience with your oldest daughters surgery(s) so I might know what I might expect. We are going to Mayo Clinic in Phoenix. Rita's surgeon will be Dr. Tonia Fadok-Young and Rita will be having a single incision laproscopic proctocoloctomy. If we were closer to Cleveland that is where we would go. We are in Southern California.
It's great to hear your oldest daughter is doing great. How is your youngest feeling about the surgery? Were desmoids ever a concern for you? I look forward to hearing from you.

Take care, Ernie(short for Ernestine)
