i have an external that gets rather large at times and hurts very badly. would it be a good idea to have it removed during step 1 surgery?

That's a question you should probably ask of your surgeon.

I would definetly push to get it removed before your TD if at all possible. I have two skin tags that I never even thought about after my Step 1 surgery and they started to irriate me after TD but then it was too late to do anything about them. surgeons won't touch them now because the amount of times I am in the bathroom won't allow them to heal properly.
