Hi all,
I started to work out at 6 weeks and 1 day after takedown (which was a week ago Tuesday). I felt structurally ok with my abdomen and all prior to training, however, after 3 days (one on one off) I noticed that I have a dull pain a half-inch or so above my stoma scar. Pain wise, it just feels like I did 2 weeks or so after surgery. I.e. tender to touch while tight and week when the muscle is activated. I think I jumped into working out instead of easing into it. I have had this dull pain for about a week and it has reduced in intensity each day but only a little. It doesn't prevent me from doing anything, though when I exert myself it is a bit uncomfortable. Has anyone experienced this? I probably just strained (pulled) the abdominal muscle, but am worried I might have herniated it. There is no visible sign, no swelling or protrusion so I am not freaked out. Any thoughts would be appreciated, especially from those who work out. Z |

Hey Zap,
I had the exact same problem. Check out the post I had a couple weeks ago: http://j-pouch.org/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5951071921/m/6041095262 Turns out it was nothing to worry about.. My last post has the explanation why.. ... Can't be positive you have the same problem as me, but it sounds identical.. It went away for me after about 4 days 24 yrs old Step 1: March 8, 2007 Step 2: March 13, 2008 Step 3: June 2008 |
