Hi Ed,

I mix and match my system. I wear a two piece. The wafers are Convatec's Esteem Synergy Durahesive Moldable Convex which have an adhesive coupling. I team them up wit Coloplast's EasiFlex bags. The reson for this is that I love the Convatec wafers but hate the bags that go with them and the Coloplast Easiflex wafers just fall off me after just a couple of hours.

I have never had a leak (touch wood) using this system. Smiler

Good luck. Smiler

Cool Shell Cool

Eric I would just ring both Coloplast and Convatec for some free samples first rather than pay for a full box. That way you can try them first and see if your happy with them. Wink

Dear Ed,

I've always been happy with Convatec's Durahesive convex wafers and snap-on bags.

Ditto Shell's advice: get samples from both companies.

And also check out the Ostomy and Skin Care forum.

Hi Ed!

I use the same mix-n-match system that Shell uses and really like it. However, I do get leaks from time to time, pretty much regardless of what system I use. This may be something that you will have to contend with until yo find just the right system to use.

The ConvaTec durahesive wafer really comes the closest I've ever been to being leak-free, and they are very low profile, so they don't show under your clothes.
