Has anyone ever heard of or had this device inserted to help with fecal incontinence. I have a friend who had rectal cancer and has had an end ileostomy for 7 years. Her sphincter muscle may have been compromised during the surgery to remove the cancer. She has had chemo and radiation and 5 years later the cancer came back in a lymph node. She had a second round of chemo and is now doing well for the past year and really wants to get rid of the bag and get a jpouch. Her surgeon is considering the jpouch but wants her to try the sacral nerve stimulator in the event she has some sphincter loss. Does anyone know anything about this.
