I went to a new foot doctor and I was told I am too young for ALL of the possible surgeries for avascular necrosis. They basicly said to wait until the only option is the fusion and hopefully the degredation process that is happening will slow so I don't hae to have it soon. Which I semi refuse because it will limit me too much. :-( But my Doctor told me of another surgery besides the plastic or metal ankle replacement or the fusion..he told me about cadaver ankle transplant..which is the only option i would seriously consider. Has anyone heard of this/ had this done/ known someone who had anything similar to this?
