Well I just got home from my second ERCP.
The GI doctor actually removed more small stones that have formed since I was in the hospital in March with pancreatitis. And he diagnosed me with PSC. My pouch was created in 1982 because I had UC. Just wondering what others have experienced that have also been diagnosised with PSC. I havn't had the itching , but when I had pancreatitis in March I was jaundiced pretty good my daughter said. She walked in the door before I went to hospital and said "Mom, nice shade of yellow." Just wondering if you follow a low fat/low cholesterol diet, what kind of meds you are taking, etc. thanks for any help in advance, Beth B--Thornton, CO who want's to be normal- that can be so boring |

I have had PSC for about 2+ years. They found it early because I was in a clinical trial for adacolum aphoresis, clinical trial= LOTS of blood tests. There isn't much to treat it except symptomatically. Sometimes they use ursodiol to thin the bile, and something if you have itching. I am still asymptomatic, but am taking Milk Thistle as a liver support. Enzymes have returned to within normal limits on the milk thistle. If you want to talk more, email me anytime.
