WOW!I really thought I was prepared for my surgery in all aspects before I went in, but now I am dealing with issues I didn't even think about! The surgery itself went really well. The day after I was feeling great and walking , but day three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and nine stunk. I couldn't eat anything and was just nauseated all night and day long. Come to find out it was from all the medicine I was getting. My mom figured it out and they took me off the medicines and it helped quite a bit. All my senses were thrown out of wak too. I don't remember a lot of things that went on in the hospital because I was always so in-and-out of it. Now, I still have a hard time focusing on things longer than about twenty minutes. I ride in the car and it seems like we are going so fast. I feel really comfortable at home, but nowhere else and I zone out a lot. Just a bunch of odd things right now and I don't know what is causing them, but I am hoping that time will take care of these things. Every day is better and this week is a lot better than last week. I am staying positve and have an awesome wife helping through all of this.

Surgery's no small thing. I bet you'll just continue to feel better with time.

I don't think what you're experiencing is totally unusual. The meds, the surgery, the bumps in the road - all can contribute to this. But since you've noticed that you're better than last week then you're on your way. And that's the way to measure things - from week to week rather than from day to day. I'm glad you're doing much better.

"Time will take care of these things." You hit the nail right on the head. It just takes time. Hang in there and let your body heal.
