has anyone had the problem of not passing gas unless they are laying down at night. I have only had this problem since I was obstructed had surgury to take out adhesions but still have some problems with food as well as a great deal of pain on right side with cramping and no gas. See the Dr. again in Feb. Have had my pouch since 1986 mostly problems with food that has high fibre content. Thanks for your ideas. Shawne

I have never passed gas standing. It is only while either laying down or sitting down with my back tilted more than 45 degrees OR of course when sitting on toilet.

I also, only pass gas when on the toilet.

To much risk of other items flying out

I miss the ability to fart on demand, and have told my boss he is very lucky.

I have just become able to fart. Which sounds so silly to talk about, and even more silly to be happy about. But as soon as I started farting again it was like I had just won the lottery or something!

I still can only fart while laying down and very very rarely standing. But before this I could not fart at all unless on the toilet.

It's the little things...

I am nine years with a pouch and still can't fart without .......... I miss it. It just means I don't sleep for more then an hour and a half at a time.

And trips to the can are less when you can let them rip.
