I'm having strange symptoms and I'm not sure what my next step should be. Let me start by saying that I'm a little more than a month shy of my one year teardown anniversary. So I'm still adjusting in some ways I think.

My symptoms are: gassiness, very gurgly stomach, urgency, small amount of leakage, and BB whenever I go. This sure sounds like pouchitis (in my limited experience) so I've been on Cipro now for 14 days. The symptoms went totally away for a couple days half way through, no cramps, no urgency, almost constipated, and now they're back with a vengeance.

I'm really not sure what to think at this point. Tomorrow is my last day of Cipro then I don't know. I'm guessing things will get worse but I don't know. Any ideas would be helpful.

It could be that you need a different antibiotic. My BF had a very similar experience with Cipro - its very rare but it can in some cases make you feel a little worse which is exactly what happened with him. His GI changed him to Ceftin instead of Cipro and it is working fabulously for him. You should talk to your doctor and see if you can try an alternative antibiotic to the Cipro.
