Just wondering how many of us have gone back to an ileo, either permanently or for an extended period of time...

There's me, Shell, JasonPA, DMC, grateful, Bill and Winnie soon to join us...

Did I forget anyone?

Best decision I ever made (despite all the complications) and feeling the best I have in years (touching wood here) in ages.

My only regret is that I didn't throw in the towel sooner. But that was down to pressure from my surgeon to "Let's just try one more thing...... " I could have saved myself at least 7 of my 9 full laparotomies and 9 years of misery. Ah well.... you can't turn back the clock! Roll Eyes

Life is good with Wee Willie. Smiler

Cool Shell Cool

One glass of red wine per day is good for the heart..... it's just that mine's a big heart so I need a very big glass!!!! D-| Cheers! Wink

And me! I do still lurk on here and occasionally throw in some questionable advice.

Count my husband Joe in. He just went with end ileo in November. Pouch too damaged and new pouch was not possible. He is much better. He is loving eating and drinking anything he wants. I told him if he keeps it up, he will need gastro bypass in a few years LOL, just kidding. But it is nice to see him living among us and not in the BATHROOM> I wish everyone could have a good pouch, but if you dont, LIFE DOES GO ONE WITH AN ILEO!!!!!

I am still in the deciding phase. I have been to Cleveland Clinic, turned down for surgery, have multiple biopsies that are indeterminate, am living with"Oscar" but still want to consider a J-pouch. So I do have an end ileo but today would be glad to give it up!

Long term (possibly perm) end illeo for almost 4 years now and doing great. Wasn't my decision as my pouch perforated, but everything is working out so far.

Yep, won't have a true "End" ileo until next week. But I'll be rolling with the gang soon.

Todd, don't let the Jason grief get to you. He just has an unusual obsession with end-ileo's...

Hi Jill and All, I have had my "temp." ileo for almost 8 years now because of a bad fistula. Came close to reversing a year ago after some surgeries to correct fistula again, but it has opened up again. SO just hanging out with my loop and have no problems with it. Not sure what I am going to do, I have lived like this for so long and feel great!
Bill, first who is that handsome rockstar in your picture????? Second glad to hear you are doing well, what made you decide to go to a end? Is the loop giving you trouble? ANd are you leving the j-pouch in??
Happy Holidays all!
