I just received a short email from Shell. Her surgery went well, they were able to put enough gas in the eye so that she doesn't need to do the posturing. She has to follow some rules, and she's tired and sore right now. She'll be along tonight or tomorrow with the whole story. I just wanted to let everyone know that she is HOME....and everything went well.

Shell, I am so happy this is over for you, and that it went better than you expected. It's about time you catch a break. Welcome Home.....

Hi All,

This is just a quicky because my eye is very sore. I don't have any vision in it, just extremely sensitive to light (wearing sunglasses to type this) and I can see the gas swirling constantly in it which is VERY weird! Eeker

Thanks to Janna for posting the update. Smiler The operation went very well but I won't know for some weeks yet whether it is successful. If I fall in the 10% failure bracket then my surgeon will give it another shot, which he says has better odds, but hey, that's NOT going to happen! Wink

And I don't have to do the posturing!!!!! Yeahhhhhh!!!!!!! Big Grin

Thanks for all your support. You guys are the greatest!

Luv & Hugs

Cool Shell Cool

One glass of red wine per day is good for the heart..... it's just that mine's a big heart so I need a very big glass!!!! D-| Cheers! Wink

Shell,

Hoping the pain has diminished and you're on your repaired way. So many well-wishers here for you - it's because ~120% of your posts are in support of others! I can't believe on the day of YOUR surgery, you took a moment to offer me encouragement, but that would be characteristic, too!
