I was thinking about buying some vsl and was wondering if everyone prefers the powder or the capsule? Also, because it is so expensive, how many do you take a day? Isn't one capsule a day enough? Also was wondering where the best place to order it is.

I think the powder tastes horrible, even mixed in things, so I prefer the capsule. However, the dosage of the capsules is less than the packets so you have to take more. It's expensive either way. I thought you could only order direct from the company (link from this website). I took it after takedown, I think 4 caps a day, just to get things off on the right foot. Then I switched back to something less expensive (PB-8).
I think the capsules have only about half the number of organisms the sachets do. The original stuff a few years ago tasted awful, but I find the new lemon-flavored VSL to be quite palatable, especially when mixed either into yogurt or one of those little DanActive Immunity drinks. Right now Thomas is taking only 1/day--which is all I can afford! If I wanted more, I would think about adding a daily capsule of Culturelle instead--though I'm not sure that's necessary.
