For a long time I can remember mostly when I get out of a hot shower I have kinda a splotchy rash that shows up. Regularly it is just kinda dry skin that is a little itchy but when i got out of the shower it really shows up and is more agrivated. It only shows up on my shoulders, neck and face. Could it be an autoimmune disorder related to my UC? Psoriasis is it? I have a doctors apt tomorrow with my GP I'll ask him but just wondering if anybody might be able to shed some light on it.

One of my nephews had that exact thing, it was like he was allergic to water. He eventually grew out of it (at about 20yrs old). He has no auto-immune disease that we know of. He is now a 37 year old husband and new father of a beautiful 4 month old daughter.

Hopefully yours will disappear too.

Good luck.

Have a fabulous day!

My guess is that the rash is always there, but just faint until you heat it up with hot water in the shower. Happens to me all the time. I have rosacea, plus the meds I am on make me photosensitive, so I burn easy. On top of that, I get eczema (also exacerbated by heat). So there you are....no real answer for you.

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.
