finally...i was admitted yesterday..and they did a cat scan with dye..which was REALLY uncomfortable because as they were pumping it into my rectum it was pouring out of my vagina..then earlier today i had a "vaginoscopy"(didn't know they had a name for that) and scope under anesthesia..they put air and dye and she looked further up and found it..said it was the size of a pin *****..and looked like it was closing..so i have to email her later about what were doing about it

Since it's not bothering me too much right now i might just let it go for a little ..maybe it'll just close up

Nice to know that you are not nuts isn't it? I am sure that it is frustrating for the docs when they cannot find the cause of our problems, but it is nowhere near as frustrating as it is for us who know what symptoms we are having and what the implications are.

Great news that it appears to be closing!

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.

Great news Italianchick. I was hopeing they would find and correct your problem, enough is enough. This disease is like the Energizer Bunny it just keeps going and going and going.

I'm wondering why my doc never has me do any of these tests. The only "tests" he's ever done to find my fistula was an anal exam under anesthesia and a barium enema and neither was successful at locating my fistula. He better do something this time or I think I'll be finding a new doc! Maybe I should print up your post and show him! Anyway, I'm glad they found it and I hope it does heal up on it's own!

Good luck Alicia, I hope it does close on it's own. Mine is also very small and not overly bothersome.

Good Luck Alicia. It sounds like it is closing on its own. I will pray it does. Keep us posted.
