what is considered several small meals a day? my surgery is in 2 weeks and i usually eat 2 large meals a day now. lunch and dinner. how do i know what a small meal is? stomach usually dictates where you are as to being full or not so how do you know if a certain amount is too much?i dont want to eat too little and be afraid of too much and not have enough to maintain or gain weight

Just take what you are eating now and divide it to be more throughout the day. There really is no "rule" about this. It is about comfort mostly, but you just don't want to eat a bunch in one sitting and have it run right through you.
Don't worry, you won't undo your surgery or mess things up otherwise if you eat too much or too little at first. Jan Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass. |

Hi, You will find out what small really is as you go. But I am 17 months post TD and still really feel better with small meals. When dining out I actually plan on taking half of my dinner home so I don't over eat and ruin my evening. It doesen't really make me sick just uncomfortable and wishing I ate a little less.
