Why would you want to do that, when there are so many antidepressants available, many of which are actually effective? I DO take provigil on occasion--when I have to drive for more than an hour, and when I want to stay awake for a sermon (my tincture of opium, though effective, makes me drowsy.) I suffer from depression, but the provigil has not made any difference in that area (although I only take it sporadically.)

I've tried nurmerous anti-depressants and none of them helped me. My pschiatrist realizes this and understands that the Provigil has decreased my depression even though that is not what it is designed for. In about a month, I plan to get off of the Provigil.
