Before my j pouch, i was dependent on prednisone for 5 years and ever since my surgery i try not to take anything. Maybe im just worrying for nothing, but im scared of getting dependent on immodium. Maybe some of you long term users of immodium can give me some pointers.

I just quit Immodium, was on it for two years and it never worked very well. I have no problems and do not notice the difference.

I suppose it is possible, but the information from the medical literature indicates that there is no evidence that there is any development of tolerance or dependence on it.

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.
