Lisa Ann, I would say go ahead and try. We are all different. I take ibuprophen whenever I have a headache and I tolerate it just fine. I havn't taken excedrin too oftern, but when I have, again I was fine. Hopefully it will be for you too. But I know for others it can be an issue. Hope you feel better! DeAnna

Lisa, If you're bleeding when you take Aleeve ocassionally, I wouldn't take it at all. I also get migrane headaches and the Aspirin Free excederin usually does the trick. I don't know if use of those other drugs would lead to pouch failure, I think they just irritate the pouch, but that's enough for me to stay away from them. I know how miserable headaches can be, hope you find some relief,
janna

I agree with Janna. If you experienced no symptoms when taking these products, I'd say, go ahead and experiment. But, you have experimented and you have significant GI symptoms. The fact that you bleed every time you take Aleve (naproxen) means you definitely should not take that drug, particularly if there is something else out there that works for you. This is your warning that you should heed, since sudden hemorrhage is a risk with these drugs. But, not all NSAIDs are created equal. You can have an intolerance to one and be tolerant of another. I began to get pouchitis symptoms with high dose Motrin (ibuprofen), which I was taking for my arthritis. So, I stopped that and my doc has me on Mobic, which seems to be fine....for now. But, I remain vigilant and watch for symptoms. If you can take the Exedrine without bleeding, stick with that and avoid the Aleve. My husband gets migraines (he also has UC), and seems to be fine with Excedrine Migraine formula, but he gets abdominal pain and diarrhea with Motrin. Jan
Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.
