Well my Dr said that my insides looked perfectly healthy! ..no crohns..no ulcers..nd that the fistula is in a spot where it could just be sewn up and then i'm good to go..i'll stay on vsl for preventative maintenance of pouchitis so i don't get any more fistulas and that's that! i'm SO happy
 btw i got into 5 of my 9 colleges so far! i'll hear about the rest in the spring if i got in or not  ..I GOT INTO kUTZTOWN, tEMPLE, uARTS, fORDHAM IN nEW yORK, AND cOLUMBIA cOLLEGE cHICAGO! Thank you guys for the support thus far<3 Alicia |

UC...1985 Step one...Aug '06, Takedown...Dec '06 Emergency SBO Surgery...Oct '07 Jan '08 Bartholin gland removed, kidney stint placed June '08 diagnosed with dysplasia in bladder. Oct '08 diagnosed w/ Crohns Nov '08 Seton drain placed for fistula Jan '09 Wow...lucky me...another fistula!!! |

That's GREAT news!!!! You must be so happy!!! Congrats on the college applications as well. My husband went to Columbia in Chicago, he studied acoustics. You are majoring is something creative, right?? Good for you on everything!!!

Alicia that's phenomenal news!!! Finally you can get rid of the fistula!! Do you have a date yet for surgery to repair it?
About the colleges - they would have to be really really stupid not to accept you. You have been through illness, surgery, complications and have obviously been able to keep your marks stellar. That's one heck of an accomplishment. I really hope that you are proud of yourself - I know that all of us here are proud of you. Suzanne |
