I had mine today, takedown is tomorrow!!! Can you believe it?

Here's my story:

The pouchogram was a BREEZE!!! My surgeon likes to be present himself during these, so I had no worries about the tech not using a foley. My surgeon inserted the foley, then blew up the balloon until I said I felt slight pressure. I didn't even really feel the liquid go in. They took x rays and I rolled around a bit for them, no biggie, it didn't bother me a bit. When it came time to drain, the technician said barely anything was coming back out. He was going to have me wait, but the foley fell out on it's own. I held everything in, and got up and went to the restroom and go rid of it the old fashioned way! No mess, no pain, no nothing. A litle of the contrast leaked into my bag, but it didn't cause the bag to leak or anything.

So, everything looked good and the surgeon okayed my takedown tomorrow. Woot!

My pouchogram was a breeze too - the staff was great, very sensitive to my anxiety. Truly, the catheter was inserted about a half inch - it was not painful at all. The test only took about 10 mins - it was the set up that takes the time.
