I am 2 weeks post-op and have been frequently experiencing discharge rectally which I know is normal (this is my second pouch constructed). Today when I went to empty my bag as I sat on the toilet the discharge increased significantly and was bloody for the first time. No blood was visible in the toilet, but it soaked the toilet paper and was a solid red color. Is this anything to worry about or is it still in the realm of "normal"?

Hi
After my 1st step i had alot of blood coming out some dark and some red. I called my doc and he said its normal because of all the work they had to do constructing and connecting the pouch.
I would say not to worry but call your doc to put your mind at ease

Thanks
Anthony
