Just a word to the wise ... I found out that when your feeling great and hurrying through your day, may make you forget the common sense things we j-pouch people need to always be mindful of. Chewing completely while eating. And that happened 1 1/2 days ago to me. Partial obstruction and it was painful. At this point it's mostly through but I'm staying on liquids and soft easy foods for another day or so. My fault but it's easy when your doing so well after all the pain of the surgeries etc.

After eating lunch ( to fast ) at work about 3 hours later I started to get a stomach ach. As the night went on the pain became very high and I was distending a bit. I wasn't nauseous but was very uncomfortable so I made myself throw up. That took pressure off but the partial obstruction was on the way. Finished my shift and made it back to work the next day but by 3 hours in at work I was doubled over in pain. Nothing but liquids since then and stayed off work yesterday.

So don't gobble food when your hungry and feeling great with your pouch. Frowner Wink

I can totally relate! I went through the same thing, and I don't know if it was eating a lunch that included still crunchy cooked veggies, or the chocolate ice cream with brownie chunks (!) that did it. I'd been feeling so great and then, WHAM - a night of agony. So I guess we have to be ever vigilant.

Gosh Mark...You need to travel on some rougher roads than wha Orgeon offers...A little travel on I 5 towards L.A. will cure you. Next time ask the boss to send you south FAR south!! LOL
Glad to hear your back on the road...One question though...How tired are you feeling after returning to work from a long absence? When I returned, even part time, I was wiped out...
Continue on the gray ribbon!

Hey Julie ...

I really have done well energy wise back at work. But I usually take my dogs to the fields for a run so I was able to get out soon after I was strong enough after step 3. I was ( am ) a bit sore though as well as rusty.

Since my work won't send me south for a rough ride ... I guess I'll get into one of the old 1970's Ford tractors next time for the remedy on the obstructions Wink ... should only take a couple trips in those tractors Big Grin
