My doctor wrote me a prescription for 15 mg. codeine sulfate tablets. I've called seven drug stores & no one has them. Is there a chain pharmacy that stocks codeine?
Thanks for your help! Maisy |

I used to get it at Walgreens. My doc only prescribes Tylenol w/ codeiene now, and i still get that at Walgreens.

That is crazy that 7 pharmacies would not have that. I also know that if a pharmacy doesn't have something they can order it and have it with in 24 hours, i don't know why they would have not offered that to you. I go through Walgreens to and they usually always have anything i need or they will order it and have it the next day. If it is not convenient for you to go to a Walgreens i would try t call the other pharmacies and if out if they can't order it and why because they should be able to have it with in 24 to 48 hours at the most.

Thanks for the suggestions. The pharmacies won't order it because they said there's not enough demand for it.
I finally found 2 drugstores(one is a Walgreens) that stock codeine, but not in 15 mg. tablets. They won't give me half-as-many 30 mg. tablets. My doc has to re-write the prescription. I'm sorry for the extra work for him, but happy I found some. |
