Im 3 weeks post op and have an old prescription for hycosamine (for UC) that my GI doc gave me a few years ago. I read that it is an antispasmodic.
Can I use it now to limit bowel frequency?
I seem to recall that it slowed it down significantly in the old UC days. I just started taking Imodium too.
thanks

Could you give your doctor a call and run it by him/her? Also ask about taking imodium, lomotil and/or Metamucil (wafers work best for me). You probably shouldn't start it all at the same time so you can tell what each product does separately.
