I have had a lot of trouble with Imodium and constipation. Even at 1/2 tab I get blocked up for 2-3 days. I went to purchase Lomotil as an alternative, and found out is prescription only. So the only thing my pharmacy had was Kaopectate- bismuth subsalicylate. I'm about to go out for the day. Do you think it will work to slow down/stop BM's like the Imodium did? (I know Bismuth subsalicylate should not be used long term because of heavy metals - but it was my only choice at the pharmacy.)
