My initial surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday, March 20 at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Remzi will be the attending surgeon. I joined this forum about a month ago at Dr. Shen's(CC physician) suggestion. I must say I have learned a lot from reading everyone's post and feel like I was able to ask valid questions. I am NOT prepared for the surgery, I don't think you ever can be, but I am educated about what to expect. I know my life will be changing after next week. Thanks to all of you for your posts and replies to a couple of my postings. I admire the courage, strength, and infallibility of all of you. I know tough times lie ahead, but I am going to count on all of you to guide me thru the various stages of recovery, questions, advice, and maybe a little "cyber" hand holding. Thanks again and I'll be on here until I go in...reading and learning.

Well you're going to the best so we expect you to be reporting back right away on how well you're doing.

Good luck next week.

Good luck next week. It's hard to be fully prepared for surgery, but you're doing everything you can. I'll be sending prayers and good thoughts your way. We're all here to help you through it.

nys, My surgery is next week also right here in Atlanta on the 23rd March. Though I can never be prepared for something I have never gone through, it is always to have an attitude when you go into it.

It makes me sizzle to think that the end is near and everything is going to be alright. Think to yourself that you will tear down the walls of adversity in life and conquer the highest mountain in doing so and the pain will be weaker, the aftermath will be sweeter, and you will be one of the few who will have conquered such adversity in your life.

Always have a swagger, that nothing can stop you, and you will get through this!!
