Hey, all! Well, I am going on a whitewater rafting/camping trip this weekend. Totally last-minute thing, but I'm excited! I am still finding out about our "accomidations" but I feel fairly certain there will be available bathrooms, running water, etc. I can not tell you the last time I've been camping. I have a list of things to bring the rafting guides suggested, and OF COURSE I'm bring spare TP just in case. Can anyone else think of anything a camping/rafting poucher might need that the general public would ignore?
Thanks!!

I'd be sure to take immodium or lomotil or whatever you use to slow things down.

Go - have fun - and forget about the pouch. As long as you don't eat too many wienies, you should be fine. I go camping with the kids as often as possible and my only requirement is that my campsite be as close to the bathroom as possible without being in it. This helps for those middle of the night trips. A few extra batteries for the flashlight can't hurt either.

I echo the above - go and have fun. You'll have a blast. The only other suggestion is to take along an electrolyte replacement product. Not that you'll get dehydrated but it can't hurt. If you can find a powdered one you can just add it to your water. And tuck some pepto bismal tablets in there somewhere just to help your tummy. You probably won't need anything at all though. And make sure you get that waterproof toilet paper container. That's all-important.

Well, just wanted to let you know I had a BLAST rafting and camping this weekend. We did the Upper and Lower Gauley, so if any of you are whitewater fiends, you know this was quite a feat! Class V's abound! So, J-pouch or no, you can get out there and live life!
