I have a j-pouch and have had it for the past five years. Right now I am experiencing a painful case of hemorroids. Has anyone had this problem? I also have a lot of air / gas so my stomach is making very loud and obnoxious noises. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

no ideas for you, but I have been there with the hemorroids - hot hot bath is the best and keep it clean.

There are non-prescription wipes that you can buy that are VERY soothing. Just ask your pharmacist. Good luck!

Hemorroids, been there, feel your pain!

My doctor recommended warm sitz baths, Anusol ointment (I used the extra strength) and I used flushable moist wipes without alcohol as the alcohol will irriate you too much and you don't want BB with the hemorroids!

Hope things get better for you soon. My insides have also been very rumbly and gassy lately so I can't help you with that.

Hi there,
Hemorroids - ouch. I get them all the time. I agree on the "keep them clean"-advice. I use a numbing cream on mine if they're bad. When I gave birth to my daughter, a MASSIVE one popped out at the same time (hey! Twins! Hahaha). You know what they did at hospital? they filled a surgical glove with ice cubes and I had to lie with it between my cheeks!! Eeker I kid you not...it was like having a dead hand between my cheeks; very unnerving, I can tell you. But it numbed well and the hemorroid lost the battle Wink
