I just had my Colon completely removed on 2-17-08 (fist of three surgeries I believe) and I have the same discharge a few times a day. Mine is mcus like fluid and they told me this is normal. I am about 2.5 weeks post p and having a very difficult time with everything, eating, slow bag, fast bag, sleeplessness, incomplete urination. This ain't easy but when it is all said and done hopefully no more UC and no more worries about Colon cancer.

Hi Rod w, This too is my first post on the site even though I have viewed it numerous times for information. I had my step 1 surgery Feb 26, 2007 and my take down MAY 31, 2007. I hope your surgery went well. To answer your question I too had liquid passing through my rectum after surgey. This was a suprise. I talked to my doctor and he told me not to be alarmed and your body is still working. This to me was more of a inconvenience than a concern. This remained with me until my takedown. I hope this helps and wish you well.

Rod - Looks like we are both new to the site and are on somewhat of the same schedule so far as surgeries go. My doc said maybe May/June for #2. How is your bag output and your diet? I am having trouble really getting in the groove.
