When I have any sort of formed stool it is always very thin. That is my experience and I don't think you will ever have the "log" like formed stool that a colon would make. Best of luck to you. -Lisa

Catherine you're going to see all sorts of shapes and sizes and colours. Your new "exit ramp" is much smaller in diameter and the thinner stool has a higher water content due to your colon not being there to re-absorb water. What you experience is perfectly normal. Sometimes what I see makes me laugh.

You know, ever since i can remember w/ UC (dx when I was 10 yrs old) I have had very thin stools. I didn't get my jpouch until over 10 yrs later, so even with my colon it was thin for many years.
