I currently have a loop ileo. When I eat carrots (cooked or raw), they show up in my bag. Does this mean I am not absorbing any nutritional value from them? Should I also worry that I could get a blockage from them since they don't seem to be digesting?

You are getting the nutrients from the carrots; they are just insoluble fiber. You will see them when you have your jpouch too. They seem to be agreeing with your ostomy but don't overdo it!

Regarding carrots and blockages - I tend to overdo. But I've found that 'shaved' carrots digest really well. You know - those really, really, really thin shavings. I have no idea why those digest better but I never 'see' them after eating.
