Well it was a year ago today that I had my first surgery and what a long year its been. I know things could have been a lot worse but I had my share of problems.

Seeing the doc on the 4th since I never made my final follow up with him. I'll see what he's got to say. I think I go to the bathroom way to much (about 12 - 15xday). I had my TD back in December and I know he said it could take 6 months to a year to level out. I would suspect cuffitis or pouchitis or something if I had any other problems but I have no cramping or bleeding or pain. Just alot of pooping. Especially at night which is playing havoc on my sleep.

To anybody out there with upcoming surgery or contemplating surgery I'd say its definitely worth it. Even with the excessive pooping (which I think will slow down) and the itchy butt issues, and all the hell I've been through in the past year, I still feel so great not to have colitis or steroids in my life any longer.

I am very grateful to this board and everyone who helped me over the past year. It really was a lifesaver and a source of knowledge that helped so very much.

I try to help out with the boards, and I need to really devote more time to helping people with the issues that I can relate to. So I hope I can give back in the way it was given to me.

Well my hopes and prayers are for everyone on this board to get health and healing quickly.

Hey Laurie-
I am sorry things aren't going how you expected-especially with the lack of sleep because of frequency.
I just wanted you to know you were so positive and I appreciated the advice you gave me.
I hope you stay positive. Good luck with your own healing process.
I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Laurie. I just wanted to wish you the best in your healing process. For those of us still on the road to takedown, it's good to hear that it's all worth it, even with the setbacks. My thoughts are with you!

Hi Lauri, I agree, this board is great. I read alot more than I write. I'm seven weeks post td. Even with Lomotil and Immodium I still go 8-12 times a day. I hope it slows down soon. But it is nice to feel comfortable in my clothes and with my body again.
