Watching your favorite football team go down in flames used to set me off for a nasty session in the bathroom that could last for days when I had my useless flaring UC colon.
Glad to see stress does not cause too many problems with the pouch...as long as the food I eat during tailgating is not Butt Burn material things are o.k..
Got to switch my signature now that the Colts are gone for the year.

Go Dodgers/Jimmie Johnson/Danica Big Grin
David
PS - Hope everybody is doing well today!

Chelsea, That was too funny!
Enjoy your magical Patriot season but don't drink the Brady Kool-aid too much...not good for the body and mind.
Hope you are feeling well yourself - my only problem is battery acid butt burn.

I actually thought about you when I saw the score on the Internet. I was like I bet Dave's pretty bummed. Read your new signature. I'll think about you while the MWR guys are lapping those Hendrick guys this year Smiler. I know, I live in a dream world.... Smiler

Dave, you're a Jimmie Johnson fan?! Have to admit he's a great driver, but I'm for Dale Jr. all the way!

I'm hoping my Dr. will schedule my takedown for a couple of weeks before Daytona; can't be watching that from the hospital!

haha Dave- you realize that cheering for the Dodgers is a lock for future sorrows..

What can I say though, I'm a Mets fan (thank god my health doesn't hinge on their success haha)

Chels, enjoy your perfect season.. I was hoping for Garrard and the jags, but oh well... Boston wins at everything... I don't mind too much because people always confuse me for Tom Brady when I'm walking around...... true story..... ok, maybe it's not haha

Since I have moved from L. A. to Indy a couple of years ago I have got into racing. The whole month of May is awesome with the 500 stuff going on.
Now that I had my surgery last year I am looking forward to going to a lot of races....Maybe that should be reason number 12 for having my useless colon tossed into the nearest landfill Razzer

Dave, you shouldn't miss the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard in July! That's a classic (love those super speedways)! We go to the races in Joliet at Chicagoland Speedway every year. I'm hoping that I'll have everything almost back to normal by then; can't miss the races!

I have my dr. appointment today to hopefully schedule takedown. Keep you fingers crossed for me!

I don't want to hear it! (just kidding)Philadelphia and Billy Penn are tattooed with "There's always next year" ... 25 years without a championship.
Let's go Phillies! (Flyers! Sixers! Eagles! Even Smarty Jones & Barbaro met their Philly fate)

This post also reminds me of how much of the games I would miss with UC flares. I'd just bring the radio in to listen to the game- now I can sit through the game without having to get up (for the bathroom at least).

Tertenpin,
You don't have to have everything done to go out to places...just get rid of the useless colon. I had my first surgery July 5th and went to Sparta Ky. for the IRL race 5 weeks later. I had no problem with the ostomy bag and it was weird not to have to look out for the nearest toilet the whole trip.
As long as you have a month or so to get your endurance up after the first surgery, the ostomy lets you go out anywhere and start enjoying life.
I was thinking of going to chicagoland this year...is it a good place to see a race?
Kar, Sorry about the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers. I am like you and just love being able to go to a game and not have problems anymore.
Good Luck with the Flyers this season.
David

Before I got sick I went to qualifying up at Chicago. Wow that was 3 years ago... anyway it was a lot of fun. I hope to be able to start going to races again this summer. The track up there is pretty nice. Not as much history as the Brickyard, but still a good time.
