Hi, all! Just wanted to give you guys an update. I had such a time for a while...recurrent strictures and pouchitis, then Crohn's diagnosis, then recurrent pouch twisting which required more surgery...Anyway, I am finally feeling good! I went back to see my GI about a month ago, and we decided to stop the Imuran as the Humira seems to be working very well for me along with Xifaxan and Canasa, so that has helped a lot with alleviating my constant headaches and achiness and fatigue. I also starting taking, what I believe to be long-overdue anti-anxiety/depression meds! Very low doses but helping tons. I finally feel like myself again, I have energy to do the things I want, I am working in a law office, and really enjoying life! I just wanted to let you all know the good news and urge you to be proactive with your health by being honest and if need be, insistent with your docs. This is a tough road we go down and no one really knows it but us...I know so many people on here are struggling so I wanted to share some hope.
Hope you are all doing well, Liz UC-Diagnosed 1998 3 Step J-pouch-May, Oct. and Dec. 2005 Diagnosed w/ Crohn's in Sept. 2006 |
