I understand the idea of surgery makes you aprehensive. I had 2 step surgery. I had put off the surgery my doc had recommended because of longterm UC until cancer did start to develop. I caught it early but wish I had goten my J-Pouch BEFORE the CC. It would have meant less worry now (about re-occurance). I thought the surgery was a lot easier than I had feared. I had a temp osteomy for a month. After take down I was back to normal, working out and working in less than a month. I eat whatever I want and feel pretty much normal and I am 65, had my surgery more than 2 years ago. I had not ever had any previous surgries but in truth, it is not nearly as bad as your probably fear.

Mark,
Thanks for the positive. Do you have difficulty with any food or drink? Are you able to control your bathroom trips?
