Just to let you know, I am not ignoring you, I am having some health issues that will probably keep me from the computer in the future. I have a couple of things going on. One is that I have been having palpitations with rates over 200 over the past few weeks and it turns out that I have what is called AV Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia. Basically that means I have an extra conduction pathway in my heart that once set off, fires in a continuous loop. Curable with radiofrequency ablation, which will probably happen in the next few weeks. The other thing is that they also think I have a pheochromocytoma (adrenal gland tumor) that is secreting excess adrenaline (making my heart problem come to light). I am waiting for CT results now. In most cases this is a benign tumor, but still will require surgery.

In the meantime, I have had to stop my Humira. I'm doing OK, but I have to say I've felt better. So, I'll keep you informed on how things are going.

At least my pouch is working fine!

Jan Big Grin

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.

I'll be thinking of you.

The Ablation is super easy. I was diagnosed with Wolff Parkinson White when I had my first and only bout of colitis.

Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Hope your outcome will be a positive one. All us "bum buddies" are used to waiting (it seems that medical systems are universally alike when it comes to the speed of diagnosis and treatment)...and your sage advice will be worth the wait! Take care. Be well!
