It's funny. Monday I was going to post about how well things were going. From the time I left for work, until I got home that night, I only went to the bathroom twice! I thought that was great!

Yesterday at work...I only went once! ONE TIME THE ENTIRE DAY! I haven't done that since high school. My 2 step surgery was last August and December. It's true what they say about the one year adjustment period.

So to everyone in the first year struggle...it does get better!

I have had some problems, but man...I love this J-Pouch! This better not jinx me! Big Grin

Have a fabulous day!

Wonderful News!!!

Yes, sometimes I only hit the bathroom once at work and it is such a great feeling to know that things are getting better.

Little baby steps!

Reading this gives me hope... my own takedown is next Wednesday, and I'm very nervous after all the complications in the past. Hope I end up functioning as well as you are!

Excellent news Cataja! Now I'm asking if Dr. Larson gave you an upgraded deal because the pouch I bought from him doesn't come with 1 or 2 per day! LOL.

Good to hear from you. I hope things continue this well for you!

Thanks everyone!

Yeah Rick...I got the upgraded "Platinum Package". It included "all you can drink" ice water, unlimited use of the hallways for walking, and narcotics at the push of a button.

Actually I think Larson thinks of me as the patient who wouldn't go away.

For some reason I was under the impression that it wasn't good for jpouchers to only 'use the bathroom' once or twice a day?

Cataja,

Did you have mutiple bathroom trips after work??

And I wonder if you could mention if you are taking Imodium or Cipro....or something that may be slowing you down.....??
Also, did you eat anything at work?? As no food..no output...

The answer would be interesting....

Otherwise, I guess you got the upgraded "Platinum Package" for sure!!!!!!!! Smiler
