I wss told I would be in the Hospital for 8 to 10 days after having my colon removed, the jpouch built, and the stoma created. My stay turned out to be 4 days from the time I walked in pre surgery until the Doctor released me (9:30 am Monday until 9:30 am Friday). I had very little trouble being at home and I really think it helped me being at home.
