Rectal cuff/lining removed? Issues?

I am trying to do some research on whether it is better to have the lining removed or not. One surgeon says yes, another says now. I'm curious what has worked and what hasn't?

Question:
Did your surgeon remove your rectal cuff/lining (is it called the mucosa maybe?)?

Choices:
Yes, due to it being precancerous
Yes, to remove all signs of disease
No

Question:
If it was removed, do you have issues with incontinence?

Choices:
Yes
No
N/A

Question:
If it was not removed, do you have issues with inflammation?

Choices:
Yes, but it is controlled
Yes, constant issues (pouchitis, cuffitis, etc)
No
N/A
