Hey everyone,
Since my J-Pouch procedure on June 6th of this year I have been a lot happier and healthier than ever before with UC. So, my girlfriend and I have put together a list of some of the reasons a j-pouch rocks!I hope some of you can relate and share your own reasons why pouchers are superior.

1) No More UC!
2) Can't get colon cancer anymore
3) Awesome battle scars & surgery stories
4) Escape work for more bathroom breaks
5) Reason to escape awkward situations "Can you excuse me I have to use the restroom"
6) No more ileostomy, stoma's, bags, paste, etc...ugh!!
7) Getting to be the BUTT of your friends jokes and all the fun that bathroom humor brings
8) Ability to go to the bathroom as much as your girlfriend does( make-up etc)
9) In depth knowledge of the stockroom of your local grocery store (where the bathrooms usually are)
10) Belonging to the J-Pouch Group!

hahaha. Unfortunately I am not feeling witty enough right now to add my own remarks. But good post. And it's nice to see that you're looking on the Bright Side and able to poke fun at it (in a good way)
I'm glad you are doing well with your pouch.

13) Nobody can accume me of breaking wind again. If somehow I did, I have a bigger problem on my hands. (So, yes...as a matter of fact it WAS the dog!)

1) No one can ever say you are full of crap again.
2) Now I ALWAYS put the seat down! My gf loves that.

15)Being able to retake your pill that comes out of you whole 49 minutes after taking it thus saving money on med bills.Just kidding!
16)Being on a really bad date and telling her that,"I just **** my self so see ya."

Haha i know this may sound like its not nescessarily related to only j pouchers, but i think we all can relate to this one:

17) Being able to use the excuse of , "My life really is a pain in the ass!" .....no, Really!!! lol

Sitting through a meeting, hopeing no one will hear your Jpouch gurgling.

Getting to see what you ate last, so you'll always remember what you had for every meal.

Sorry, but I think I have the number one reason...No more bottles of Fleet. Yuck!!
